Ditch the Desktop for a Notebook

Dave Leon, PR industry veteran and manager of the Showstoppers press events, recently shared with us his success story when using the DisplayLink USB graphics adapter he received at a CES trade show.

"For years, I had a desktop machine that consumed a lot of power - running 4 drives and its associated fans. I found it noisy as well. The power supply blew out one day - complete with a puff of smoke, and so I decided to use a laptop to replace the desktop machine.

I use dual displays to run the business and as the laptops only have one VGA port, I incorporated the DisplayLink device to drive the second monitor.

After initially setting the screen resolution, I don't have to adjust or play with it. The DisplayLink device simply works and that allows me to be more efficient in the office."
